Finding The Best Business Web Hosting Company Tips For Beginners
In order to operate a business website, the business website owner needs to search for a reliable web hosting company. Without a reliable company, they could hardly establish a good reputation for it. As you can see, the business websites are used to attract customers to visit. If the web hosts are not efficient enough in providing the support, your website cannot cater for the needs of the visitors and you will fail to win the support from them.
One of the best business web hosting partners of businessmen in the world is Godaddy. If you know it well, you should understand that this company is the largest company for domain registration in the internet world. They have a lot of good equipments and the scale of operation of this web host is large enough to provide some plans at a cheap price.
If you want cheap plans from this web host, you can. There are some packages which will be offered at each month. Of course, you should not expect to enjoy unlimited bandwidth and storage space because this plan is actually a shared web hosting plan. You are sharing the same server with someone else who is using the cheap plan. But these features are enough for your business needs. Actually, you seldom need to use a real unlimited plan because what you post on the website will seldom be unlimited. You can simply delete some ancient posts to save the space.
The best business web hosting companies in the world will always try to offer some unique features so that you can always know that you are the customer of it. Godaddy will give you unique email account and you can also have a private domain name for your website. With these features, you may contact your employees or other customers efficiently.
On the other hand, Hostgator.com is also famous for being one of the best business web hosting companies. There are a lot of tools provided in the control panel of this company so that businessmen can create a good website. For example, there are different types of shopping carts provided in this web host. And it will also give you detailed statistics about the traffic of your website.
The basic plan from this company is not as low as that from GoDaddy. You may need to pay about per month in order to get the basic plan. However, this plan can offer you an option to have multiple domain names and this means you can create several websites in one account.
The technology used for this web host to create the web hosting service is more advanced as well. You can get a lot of technical supports from the web host because they know that you may not know how to operate the website with these advanced features.

QUESTION:
What are the best web hosting companies (no spammers please)?
I have Dreamhost now. They are pretty good, but I was wondering if there was anything better. Feel free to link to sites that review web hosters also.*It needs to be around 20 dollars a month (I pay 7 bucks a month for Dreamhost).
*PHP, MySQL, etc the whole gamut I need.
*It need to have a good way to upgrade. Meaning it can start off slow, but if I pick up more traffic, I can pay more to easily upgrade my bandwidth, etc.
So yeah give your thoughts, please no spammers with referral links. Also if you could find an article about this on digg (I couldn't find one) that would also be great. Thanks in advance.

QUESTION:
Best web hosting company?
I would like to know some good hosting companies.
I heard good reviews about http://www.hosting-revolution.com , HostGator, Lunarpages and other hosts but which is the best. I want to run e-commerce web site.-
ANSWER:
You need to buy hosting with e-commerce option (for setting up web store / shopping cart) and a domain name (like yourwebsite.com).I recommend one of these: http://www.webhostingtable.com/
Fatcow has the best offer right now, they have a limited time sale, hosting for .67/month (.00/year), and you get a free domain (like www.yourwebsite.com) from them.
They include easy, one click install of osCommerce.
From their site:
"osCommerce is an online shop e-commerce solution that offers a wide range of out-of-the-box features that allow online stores to be setup fairly quickly with ease. It is an e-commerce framework solution that not only remains easy to setup and maintain, but also makes it easier for store administrators to present their stores to their customers with their own unique requirements."Some store samples:

QUESTION:
what's the best web hosting company out there? any idea on fatcow? Every review seems biased..
?
any honest opinions will be greatly appreciated!

ANSWER:
One of the most reliable sources to check out web hosting reviews is reading the webhostingtalk.com forum - the largest forum about web hosting on internet. Now the question is, are you looking for shared or dedicated hosting. Dedicated hosts are slightly more complicated issue, because there are more good providers out there than there are for shared hosting. But if you need a cheap and reliable shared hosting providers, then I recommend Hostgator, because it has received tons of positive feedback on webhostingtalk.com forums and I personally use it for all my projects that don't need dedicated hosting. So far I have had all my questions resolved in few hours maximum with their support system and I have had only few minor problems (in 2 years).
The good thing about Hostgator plans is that you can test them out for free for the first month if you use a coupon code during the order process. This way you can ensure that you don't waste any money before you have made sure that you are satisfied with their services.
Latest working Hostgator coupons can be found here:

I hope this helps!

Webhost.UK.NET Reviews ? Looking for Best UK Web Hosting?
Hello friends... I am web designer and looking for good web hosting company in UK and I found http://www.webhost.uk.net offering nice plans - any one using them?-
ANSWER:
I have been using http://www.webhost.uk.net for more than a year now..I have my website zcrafts.com hosted with these guys and trust me, you will never repent going with them.
I am a web designer and developer by profession and my business counts on reliable web hosting provider. For all these years, after trying out several web hosts, I found http://www.webhost.uk.net and since then, have no regret for my choice. Their servers are non-overloaded and stable servers. Their network is fast and their support simply rocks.
You may try contacting them at anytime of the day / night / weekends and even on holidays.. and you will have their live chat operator chatting with you in the most humble way, trying to help you out.
If grading any web hosting company was ever in my hands, I would have given them 11 out of 10.
The company simply rocks and you hosting your website with them, means you are in safe hands.

I went through them all and all are looking good in one way or other...So just got a bit confused. Please tell me which web host from the list can I choose.Website : http://www.webhostingreviews.ens.org.in
Do you have a web host from the list?
Do you like it?
What is your experience?Just need a little help.

ANSWER:
There are many web hosting providers and you might become confused to choose which one. It is very important that you choose a good web host. Good doesn't mean expensive. Good means reliable with great support. When you choose a web host, make sure they have excellent support. If you have a problem with your web site you want help now, not in a day or two.It can be confusing when choosing a web hosting company because they all look pretty much the same and they seem like they know what they are doing. However, I recommend reading reviews from reliable websites so that you may compare and become more familiar with the hosting companies before making a decision. I am a web designer and I have changed back and forth from many companies over the years but my favorite one is FatCow. I am moving all my websites to them as the contracts expire.

QUESTION:
Yahoo webhosting? What's a good web host?
Every Top 10 Hosting Plans list I see is different. So those don't offer much help.Bluehost I've never heard of but keeps emerging as one of the best.
I'm currently using godaddy which I REALLY DISLIKE. It's tortuous. Everytime you buy a domain, you're blasted with screens of more options to buy crap. I dislike godaddy hosting.
I have about 8 domains and a hosting package currently on godaddy so if I switched I'd need to be able to transfer those.
I REALLY like yahoo's search engine and answers! area, etc. But I am not sure about there webhosting.
Would need
-- ecommerce (i'm going to be selling audio products, documents, and possibly video products from the site. So auto-downloading of a purchased product is a must (I know ejunkie offers that but that's too small scale).
--Site analytics!!! I MUST have site analytics!
-- domain transfer ease
--quality cPanel installs
-- low cost etc.
Thanks. Bluehost was the top of this one list, so I may check them out.

Bye Bye Bluehost.Customer for years... raised my rate without warning. Restricted number of emails I could send. Requested an increase and got the run around. Was told to write to someone in particular and they never wrote back or responded to any calls. POOR customer service so switched. Must be nice to be making enough $$ to not care about service anymore.

QUESTION:
What's the best UK web hosting provider?
Hello,I am looking for a web hosting provider to host my web site, and also to provide me with a domain name.
My web site will only have about 3 or 4 page and will only be about 1MB in total, therefore I only really need a basic package. It will have no programming or server code, it will only have basic html and css.
I have look at various web sites, and found that 1and1 is very cheap but I have read very bad reviews about it. It is only £1.99 a month for the basic package, which doesn't go up after a certain amount of years which is good, and a .co.uk domain name is £2.49 a year for 1st year and £2.99 a year after that.
I have also had a look at uk-cheapest which has about the same sort of package but costs slightly less at £1.59 a month and a .co.uk domain name is £2.79 a year. They seem to have slightly better reviews but again, not great.
I would really appreciate any input and your thoughts and expereinces on these companies or any other companies you would recommend.
And just to remind you, I only really want to spend about £2.00 a month.
Many thanks.

QUESTION:
Hi i need help with web hosting and domain names. Im new to this and want to set up a movie review site, help!?
Im not sure yet how big the site is going to be and if i should run it as a business or a personal site, im not sure what band with and space im going to need either! I eventually want to have a site with honest reviews and for it to be open for selected members to add reviews also. I want links to movie websites, video trailers, links to buy movies and merchandise from amazon etc, maybe emails sent to members with info on new films and probably a lot more. Im guessing that with the amount of info that is gonna be on the site and all the constant updating it will need to be a half decent package? And im based in the UK so should i opt for a UK based company? Obviously i am going to want top notch reliability with limited downtime and the best possible support. Any help would be amazing, obviously i am pretty naive. Thanks again-
ANSWER:
While I can't suggest any specific hosting providers for the UK, I can tell you what to look for in a provider.First things first. Domain names. Usually when you purchase hosting from a provider, they are able to sell you a domain name as well. For instance GoDaddy.com has .99 domain names with any hosting purchase.
Second, since you are using lots of dynamic content, your hosting plan should have support for a server-side language such as ASP.NET or PHP. You will also need access to a database such as MS SQL, MySQL, etc. Support for those are usually included in hosting plans and are stated on their website.
For space requirements and bandwidth, start small because you can always get more space and more bandwidth. 50Gb should be plenty of space and 150GB of bandwidth should be enough. There is no real reason to have tons of bandwidth until your site gets popular.
Usually with domain name purchases you get access to email accounts as well, so that shouldn't be a concern either.
Hope this helps a bit!

QUESTION:
Webhosting Advice - Need a Review?
Hello,
Let me start off, please don't waste time posting affiliate links to other hosts here, I am looking for opinions on my hosting setup, not purchasing more.
With that out of the way, here is my question...I run a small web hosting company, I offer standard Shared Hosting and Reseller Hosting. I decided to include FFMPEG with all plans as well. Lately I have noticed that I have been getting fewer and fewer conversions over the past few months. I was wondering if anyone can review my site and post any advice.
Along with any tips, I would mainly want to have the answers to the following questions :
If you were a Potential Customer, what would make or break the sale for you?
What would you like to see that would make it better?
Does my hosting Stand Out from others? Not only will I issue 10 points to the best genuine answer, I will give anyone who posts a genuine answer 3 free months of Reseller Hosting (Starter Reseller Plan). Just shoot me an e-mail if interisted.
I feel stupid - I forgot the site. It is K-Disk.net
Also, a s a side note, the free hosting offer includes all the features of the 9.99 'Starter Reseller' hosting with the exception of the domain-
ANSWER:
ok, had a quick look .. the design looks a bit antique (html tables with borders?) and unpolished (white border around live help link, etc) ...you might want to checkout templatemonster.com for a better more modern design!... and also, i would display your hosting plans on the main page .. with links to detailed description of features/plan comparisons.
i also suggest you offer some more popular software (like wordpress, etc) installation packages that users can easily switch on/off without need of technical knowledge.
and of course, most important is to make sure google ranking and advertising is working well to make sure your hosting service is getting found by users. (maybe get a SEO specialist?)

QUESTION:
Could someone who speaks English as their first language tell me if my text is without any grammatical errors?
* Review the service awarded the "Best Web Host Of 2008" *The PersonalLogic plan is perfect for beginners yet operative enough for experienced web professionals. Easy-to-use site-building tools will help you get your site up in no time!
Notice: Don't trust any dishonest claims like "Best web hosting only " or "Get the cheapest web hosting without sacrificing quality and features!!". Take into consideration that some hosting companies are cheating and lying to their customers. It is very important that your service to be uptime. It means that you can access your account whenever you want to update your web pages, and your visitors can view your website whenever they input your site address. If your hosting service is not uptime it can be real hell!
-
ANSWER:
Very good. I would change "It is very important that your service to be uptime." to "It is very important that your service has uptime."
The last sentence doesn't read well...maybe change that to something like:
"If your hosting service is not up, it can be really sticky!"
(either use "does not have uptime" or "is not up", also cursing in business world is a put-off, even mild words like "hell")

QUESTION:
Best webhosting service?
I have reserched bluehost and hostmonster, aware they are owned by the same company and read horrible reviews for the former but cannot find anything but good for the latter. Also looked into ixhosting, geocities, and a number of others during my research but I'd like to get some opinions from people here . So here I am....what can ya'll tell me about your experiences with web hosting?-
ANSWER:
There is a lot to consider when choosing a host besides just bandwidth and file storage space (as I'm sure you know by now). I've also noticed that all the big companies (including the one I'm about to recommend) have their share of horror stories.I can only say that I've been with mine (HostGator) for several years, have multiple websites with them (my own as well as those of my clients), have high-end content management software running, have bugged their tech support with some highly technical and hard-to-answer questions (I'm a software engineer) and they have ALWAYS been courteous and responsive. And hey, they're located in Texas, a state that has a fondness in my heart as it's where I went to school, and so that's always a winner in my book {grin}.
The reasons (features) why I like HostGator are also the same reasons that I would NOT recommend GoDaddy (except as a domain name registrar, perhaps). Things like CRON (scheduled tasks), location of the database server, and a few other issues. The details are here...

QUESTION:
Which is most user-friendly UK web-host for small website.?
HiI'm shortly to go and do some long-term voluntary work abroad and want to set up a website that can provide some basic information and me and my projects (just a few pages). In time I may like to add more interactive features, maybe contact forms, daily diary (is this a blog?) and some way for people to donate (paypal?).
I want full control over what's on each page, and would find it interesting to be able to view statistics. I don't know if this is done through the webhost or if I need to sign up to another service. I will create the site either through Serif webplus, or by writing the xhtml/css/javascript in notepad (I have done this previously for a project).
Although I can do this scripting I know nothing about actually buying a domain/using a host. I've tried to research, and so I do understand the principles involved (such as having enough bandwith and space etc) I am overwhelmed by the choice. I keep finding a host that sounds good, and then looking up reviews and finding hundreds of negative comments.
As I will not have much time spare, I need something very simple and user-friendly that won't go wrong. Preferably with very accessible stats. I'm also concerned with the recession that I don't want to go with a company likely to go bust and make my site inaccessible. I assume a UK host would be best as at least then I'm charged locally and not as affected by changes in currency exchange rates. I'm happy to pay for a decent service. I would also like to know if web-hosting is always done by the site I buy the domain from.
Any opinions, or links to sites that compare the hosts, would be gratefully received on any aspect of the above. Especially views from people that have used the web-host - not just advertising.
Thanks for your time.

ANSWER:
If you're from the UK I recommend http://www.hosttell.com/one They are one of the leading European hosting companies (hosting over 500 000 websites), and they currently have a promotion in the UK. They are offering free hosting and a domain (you have to pay the £9.00 setup fee and that's it). Every plan includes Photo Gallery, WebEditor (so you can build a website without knowledge of HTML), Google Adwords coupon (so you can advertise your website on google for free) and a lot more. QUESTION:
Need help creating/running a website with Joomla!!!?
Hello there!! I just got finished watching some video tutorial of Joomla and actually love it! , I'm going to create a site myself but it is my first time and I need some advice in how this work.
I'm building a ads type website, but I know not always will have time to check it (review posts in forums and ads) so what I'm trying to do is have someone else (another administrator) to help me out, the catch is that this person is going to be in another country. so my questions are:
Is actually a way to do this?
Does that person have to have Joomla ans Xampp installed too?
Is he going to be able to edit the content of the site? (deleted and upload more ads)
Do I have to send the template of the site before put on the web?
What Joomla company host (if you know a name that will be awesome!) you think is the best?
If for some reason I want to change this person later on, can I do it (is there like a main Administrator)I know is a lot what I'm asking, but I need help since I'm new doing this...I do really appreciate it and thanks in advance for you help guys!!!

ANSWER:
I am the administrator for a Joomla based websites and will try to provide whatever guidance I can...If it is not already installed and ready to go, I would suggest reading the tutorials on Joomla's website very thoroughly. It can be tricky to get everything 'talking' to eachother (Apache/SQL/PHP/Ect..)
Most of the administration can be done through the web with a super user login. Just goto http://yourwebsite.com/administrator and login..That's it. No installation required. All the user administration, forms, functions, ect can be accessed through that admin page.
We host our own server/site but I have always liked network solutions as a web provider. I am not certain if they are a 'Joomla Host' or familiar with such, but do know they will host your site for you.
I am a Network Admin, not a Web Developer, hopefully this helped at least a little bit...

QUESTION:
Which online services could I offer?
Hello. I am 15. I would really like to start making a lot of money (50k-100k a year) online. I'm really clueless, because after a few years of research, there have been so many ideas thrown at me. I'm just looking for the best one. Here are my ideas (please don't tell me I shouldn't post ideas on yahoo, I'm just looking for feedback).1. A digital music distribution/marketing company. A service called Tunecore lets people sell music on iTunes and other stores. We would find new bands/artists, use the Tunecore service (and eventually/hopefully partner with Apple to sell directly without Tunecore) to sell their music on iTunes. We could charge a 0 fee per album, which lets them keep 100% of the royalties earned. We would also offer marketing services such as building a basic promotional website, social network marketing, etc.
2. I found a free script online that lets you make a website where bands/artists can share their music, and listeners can share, listen, rate, comment, follow, etc. We would use Adsense and affiliate marketing to make money.
3. A cell phone review site that reviews phones without all of the detail. The reviews would be straight to the point just giving a small description, pros, cons, and recommendation. This site would be for people who don't want to know all of the specifics.
4. A web marketing company. We would promote small businesses by offering websites (made with webs.com), and social media marketing. But would people really pay me to set them up a facebook account?
5. Currently, there are no sites that review guitars and guitar equipment. I could start a website, and make money by selling affiliate products and ads.
Are any of these ideas good? Do you guys have any other possible online company ideas that could make me money. Reseller hosting is popular, but very populated. What services could I provide online to make a lot of money?
Thanks.

QUESTION:
Is this a good business idea?
Hi. I'm 15 and I want to start my own online company. I want to make real money (0-0 a day), not kid money. I don't want to start an affiliate marketing business, but I want to start an online service company of some sort. Reseller hosting is a very saturated industry so here are my other ideas.1. A digital music distribution/marketing company. There is a site called Tunecore which lets people sell their songs on iTunes. But for my company, we would find new bands/artists and provide that service for them. We would also provide a wide variety of marketing services. We could build band websites and market them on Facebook and other social networking sites. I could probably charge 0 for the site, and -0 per album placed on iTunes (they would keep 100% royalties, they only pay the one time fee).
2. I found a free web script that lets you create a website where bands/artists can create profiles, share their music, and listeners can rate, share, chat, follow, etc. It is sort of like purevolume.com, but aiming at a smaller niche of new bands and artists. We would make money from ads and affiliate products
.3. I've been looking, and they dont have websites that review bands. It might take a long time to write reviews though.
4. A website where people can buy and sell websites/domains. Like flippa.com, but I'm positive the industry is not really saturated, and I could make some money. I would charge a fee if the transaction is successful.
5. Lots of phone review sites go a lot into depth about phones, that it sometimes can be confusing. I have gotten a lot of feedback from elders saying that people in the phone stores are useless. I was thinking of making a site that reviews cell phones, but just gets to the point (who the phone is for, best features, pros, cons, final recommendation).
What other things could I do to make a lot of money (0-0 a day) online? Are any of my ideas good? Please don't say I should't post ideas on YahooAnswers, because i just want some feedback. I really want to know how to make a lot of money online.

ANSWER:
There are quite a few options and if you are careful you can avoid scams. If you are a good writer, you can try freelance writing. You can provide articles for people wit.h websites and blogs.
Another option would be online surveys. There are quite a few companies that will pay you for doing surveys online. But beaware of scams as there are plenty. To avoid scams remember one rule – a legitimate company will never ask you for sign up
fee, nor there will be any fees associated wit.h being a member. If a site asks you for a fee, then to not go there.

ANSWER:
Go with the basic cell phone idea but branch out to other things that are not currently covered online (phonescoop and 15 other sites are already doing the phones). You could write about warranties that are sold at stores when people buy a new tv set. You could analyze the chances of using the warranty compared to the cost.
Or compare skateboards. Have the manufacturers send you their latest boards so you can compare them.
